FINAL PRODUCT!

Thoughts: Last week before my birthday I bought a new pack of fine tipped markers. I had wanted a pack for quite some time and finally just gave in bought a pack at Pygmalions. Needless to say I went a little hog wild with them and decided to see what I was capable of when using them. This is how I came up with my Ultimate Doodle experiment. Originally I was going to fill up a page of my sketchbook with colored blocks but after a while I got bored and decided to stop. The next day I hated all the empty space left on my blocks page and decided to fill it up with various recognizable and unrecognizable objects. Essentially I decided to fill the page with doodles. Each doodle took quite a bit of time despite the simplicity of the shape. And although there seems to be no set structure, each doodle actually dictated the color, shape and form of the next added doodle. I feel kind of silly analyzing this doodle, but it's kind of interesting how a creation can evolve when you put 24 hours between each addition. Ok. That's enough of that!

Heads from different angles.

This is kind of Kate Blanchet. kind of.
Thoughts: Also I got a lot of new pencils for my birthday so prepare to see a lot of sketches!

This image doesn't make sense and it's not suppose to. I started with a tree and then drew images based off present lines and went from there.

Day 68-69

Assignment: FD
Title: My Thoughts
Medium: Pencil and colored Pencil

Thoughts: Ok, so I had this idea that it would be kind of neat if I wrote down all my major thoughts between 8am and 5pm and then try to illustrate them. Needless to say this was a very daunting task. Because I apparently can't NOT think for more than 10 seconds my page of thoughts was over 2 pages long leaving me with a project that was most definitely not going to be done before my 12am deadline. So, i decided to break the one rule I set for my self and stretch the project over 2 days (this still wasn't enough time as the completed version still only holds 1 page of thoughts) I figured since this image is comprised of multiple images it wasn't as much of a breaking of the rule as a bend. ANYways, the completed version can be seen below along with some excerpts. Despite the quantity of thoughts, this project was surprisingly therapeutic and the process actually put me in a great mood for a few days.
some of my thoughts for the day.
